Another part of the company, Blue Trail Entertainment Inc. is developing, producing and distributing quality Christ-centered feature films and documentaries with excellent production value, which aim to reveal God’s love. They seek the Holy Spirit’s creative inspiration and anointing to develop stories that not only resonate with believers, but relevant enough to reach the lost for Jesus. They work closely with experienced and award-winning professionals in the arts and entertainment industry based in Los Angeles and New York, and aspire to continually expand their network.
Eric and Jill wrote, developed and executive-produced “HEROES OF DIRT” (PG13), a 98-minute independent feature length action sports/drama movie released theatrically starting Sept. 4, 2015 in 60 U.S. markets via Cinemark, Carmike and independent theaters, and is now available domestically on DVD/Blu-ray and VOD digital platforms, and for sale internationally. Heroes of Dirt was named among the 2015 Top 75 Fall Movies to Watch by New York Magazine / Vulture.com, listed along films such as The Martian, Hunger Games: MockingJay Part 2, Spectre, and Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens. The first BMX movie in 30 years is about a self-focused BMX dirt rider who aspires to become the next stunt champion and is forced to mentor a troubled teen. The main scripture theme explored is “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends” (John 15:13 NIV). Filming of the seven-year project primarily took place in Pennsylvania cities of Allentown, Bethlehem and Catasauqua, and it’s the first movie out of the Lehigh Valley, PA region that hit mainstream. The Dove-rated “family-approved” film obtained promotion partnerships with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, X Games and USA BMX. It received great audience ratings and positive critical review on Rotten Tomatoes as “combining the best elements of Hollywood and arthouse films: equally tender, heartwarming, relatable and inspirational while remaining a captivating, exhilarating and thrilling experience.”
